SR YARD ENGINEER

Role Overview

Senior Yard Engineer at NMDC Group.

Role Purpose

Oversee fabrication yard operations and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver Oil & Gas construction projects on schedule, within quality standards, and in compliance with applicable codes and international requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication Coordination

• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors within the fabrication yard.
• Monitor fabrication planning, productivity targets, and progress against project schedules.

Quality & Technical Oversight

• Ensure strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, fit-up, dimensional control, NDT, blasting, painting, and material traceability.
• Maintain good knowledge of applicable international codes, standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.

Stakeholder Management

• Communicate and coordinate effectively with Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Planning, Procurement, and Client teams.
• Manage stakeholder relationships across multidisciplinary functions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas fabrication and construction projects.
• Strong experience in fabrication yards, module fabrication, structural steel, piping supports, pipe racks, skids, jackets, and related Oil & Gas facilities.
• Experience working on major EPC/EPCM projects with international clients and contractors is preferred.
• Relevant professional certification in fabrication, welding, or construction is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, fit-up, dimensional control, NDT, blasting, painting, and material traceability.
• Good knowledge of applicable international codes, standards, project specifications, and quality requirements.
• Understanding of project schedules, fabrication planning, productivity targets, and progress monitoring.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
