Sr. Techno-Functional Consultant - Finacle

Role Overview

Sr. Techno-Functional Consultant - Finacle at GSSTech Group. The role combines functional banking expertise with technical Finacle development to deliver core banking solutions.

Role Purpose

Design, configure, and implement end-to-end Finacle Core Banking solutions that translate business requirements into functional and technical implementations. Provide technical expertise across customization, integration, and production support while managing stakeholder expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Implementation

• Lead end-to-end solutioning for Finacle Core Banking requirements.
• Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct requirement analysis, functional design, and gap analysis.
• Configure and implement Finacle modules based on business requirements.
• Work closely with business and technology teams to ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements.

Finacle Customization & Development

• Develop and implement customizations using Finacle Scripting.
• Develop and maintain database procedures, functions, and scripts using PL/SQL.
• Perform Finacle menu customization and configuration.
• Configure and support Finacle functionalities based on business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues within Finacle.

Integration & Technical Support

• Design, develop, and support API integrations between Finacle and external and internal systems.
• Support API configuration, integration testing, troubleshooting, and deployment activities.
• Handle batch job scheduling, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Work with technical teams to ensure reliable integration between Finacle and enterprise applications.
• Support production issues and provide technical resolution within agreed timelines.

Stakeholder Management

• Conduct requirement-gathering sessions and workshops with business stakeholders.
• Understand business processes and translate them into Finacle functional and technical requirements.
• Communicate solution approaches, dependencies, risks, and delivery status to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Testing & Deployment

• Support functional testing, system integration testing, and UAT activities.
• Assist business users during UAT and resolve identified issues.
• Support deployment, release, and post-implementation activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely technical and functional support.
• Ensure solutions are delivered with appropriate documentation and quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Finacle Core Banking technology projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with Finacle Core Banking.
• Strong expertise in Finacle Scripting.
• Strong hands-on experience with PL/SQL.
• Experience with Finacle customization and configuration.
• Experience with Finacle menu customization.
• Experience with API integration and configuration.
• Experience with batch job setup, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience working in enterprise banking technology delivery environments.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams.
• Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong functional knowledge of core banking modules: CASA (Current Account / Savings Account), Term Deposits (TD), and Loans.
• Strong understanding of database concepts and SQL.
• Ability to perform technical troubleshooting and production support.
• Strong techno-functional understanding of Finacle Core Banking.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong stakeholder communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work closely with business users, functional teams, developers, QA, and technology stakeholders.
• Strong ownership and accountability for delivery.
