Role Overview

Sr. Specialist Special Projects & Performance at Delivery Hero (Talabat), reporting to senior management with responsibility for business performance analysis, strategic deep dives, AI-driven productivity initiatives, and profit-and-loss management across the organization.

Role Purpose

To drive business performance optimization through data-driven analysis, strategic insight generation, and cross-functional collaboration. The role ensures accurate reporting to leadership, identifies growth and profitability opportunities, manages organizational budgets and financial targets, and leads AI initiatives to enhance team productivity.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting Business Performance

• Analyze performance metrics across Talabat to identify key trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare comprehensive and insightful reports for senior management, highlighting key drivers of change and actionable insights.
• Communicate findings in a clear and concise manner, translating complex data into understandable recommendations for decision-makers.

Analytical Deep Dives

• Perform detailed country-specific analyses of different Talabat markets, focusing on turnaround opportunities, growth and profitability areas.
• Work with various departments to understand and address cross-functional issues impacting business performance.
• Develop and recommend strategies based on analysis to improve overall performance and achieve business objectives.

AI & Productivity Initiatives

• Lead AI efforts across all performance teams to identify new use cases that enhance productivity.

PnL Management

• Collaborate with local teams to develop Talabat's yearly budget, setting growth and profitability goals.
• Ensure budgets are adhered to consistently across the organization.
• Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to exceed financial targets and enhance overall profitability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of working experience.
• Experience with financial modelling and PnL analysis strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decisions.
• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, explore, and drive creative solutions.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration and ability to work with teams across different functions to achieve common goals.
• Experience using SQL, BigQuery, Looker, and Tableau strongly preferred.
