Sr. Specialist Demand Planning

Role Purpose

Ensure optimal inventory levels across Talabat Mart store locations by analyzing stock movement, maintaining replenishment parameters, preparing demand forecasts, and coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to prevent stockouts and overstock situations while supporting the rapid expansion of the grocery delivery service.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory status daily and update ordering parameters to maintain correct stock levels with no out-of-stock or overstock situations.
• Run daily reports of inventory adjustment and stock movement.
• Maintain accurate records of in-stock and inventory position.
• Manage relevant inventory in coordination with Category Managers.

Demand Planning & Forecasting

• Prepare demand forecasts and initiate ordering to stores.
• Develop and execute demand forecasting from A-Z.
• Track receipt of orders placed to stores.

Replenishment Model Management

• Maintain parameters of the replenishment model and ensure accurate input into the system, including lead times, reorder points, economic order quantities, and supplier minimum order quantities.

Supplier & Order Management

• Dispatch orders to suppliers and ensure proper tracking.
• Liaise with suppliers for improving collaborative forecasting planning and replenishment.

Reporting & Analysis

• Deliver timely and accurate analysis and reporting of inventory and purchase forecasts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 4+ years of experience in Demand Planning.
• Strong knowledge of demand planning fundamentals and demand forecasting end-to-end.
• Experience in FMCG sector demand planning and replenishment.
• Experience in Warehouse management or 3PL partner relations.
