Role Overview
Senior Sales Trainer, Diabetes MEA at Dexcom. The role is based in the Middle East and Africa region, with a primary location of home office and the requirement to live within commuting distance of an assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).

Role Purpose
This role joins the EMEA Commercial & Sales Training team, focused on enhancing commercial performance throughout the MEA region. The position delivers and continuously refines impactful training solutions that strengthen the capabilities of Sales representatives and Sales Managers, promoting behavioural change and sales excellence while equipping teams with the essential knowledge, skills and tools required to achieve sustainable business results.
Key Responsibilities
Training Design & Curriculum Development
- Partner with MEA Commercial leaders to define training priorities through needs assessments, identifying capability gaps and aligning enablement initiatives to commercial strategy and performance goals.
- Design and refresh core curriculum (onboarding, product, clinical, competitive and selling skills) in partnership with subject-matter experts for the MEA region.
- Create training and enablement plans, materials and facilitator guides.
- Maintain expertise in adult learning principles, facilitation, digital learning tools, and coaching methodologies; recommend the best delivery approach for each audience and objective.
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Deliver instructor-led, virtual and blended learning experiences that build consistent selling behaviours aligned to the commercial strategy.
- Demonstrate strong facilitation, coaching and presentation skills across in-person and virtual settings.
- Accelerate time-to-proficiency for new product launches and innovations across the region.
Field Coaching & Reinforcement
- Reinforce learning through field coaching (ride-alongs), observation, role plays and structured feedback aligned to defined competency models.
- Influence sustained behaviour change, evidenced through observed selling behaviours.
Program Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Measure effectiveness of programs using agreed metrics (knowledge checks, certification, field observation, performance trends) and implement continuous improvements.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and systematically enhance the MEA training curriculum based on business objectives, performance metrics and feedback from the field.
- Produce clear status updates, insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with Country Commercial Leads, Marketing, Sales Operations, subject-matter experts and cross-functional project leads to ensure that training initiatives are effectively implemented at the local market level.
- Manage assigned projects within the Training function.
- Collaborate with MEA leadership and EMEA Training peers to ensure consistent standards, localisation where needed and alignment to EMEA training strategy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 5–8 years of related experience.
- At least 5+ years' experience in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical field sales training, enablement or commercial excellence.
- Experience supporting both primary and secondary care teams within the diabetes segment considered a strong advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to assess capability needs, design learning solutions and drive field adoption through coaching and reinforcement.
- Strong business acumen and experience operating in a regulated healthcare/medical device environment within the MEA region.
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to communicate complex information clearly and with diplomacy across cultures and levels of seniority.
- Strong facilitation, coaching and presentation skills across in-person and virtual settings.
- Understanding and proficiency with learning technologies, including LMS platforms, CRM systems (for example Salesforce), and BI tools (Power BI/Tableau); advanced Excel skills are preferred.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, KPIs and strategic enablement frameworks, including selling methodologies and manager coaching models.
- Communicate with impact, bringing excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

Work Arrangement
- Flex workplace model: primary location is home office with no assigned workstation.

- Must live within commuting distance of assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
