Role Overview
Senior Quantity Surveyor - Road at HILL International, managing quantity surveying aspects of road and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.
Role Purpose
Oversee and manage the quantity surveying aspects of road and infrastructure PMC projects, ensuring successful delivery, maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Management
- Prepare and review cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for road projects.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and provide accurate cost forecasts.
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying potential cost overruns and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on cost-effective solutions for road infrastructure.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve cost-related issues.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Team Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors, providing guidance and support.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and contract conditions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting
- Prepare and submit progress reports, highlighting key milestones and project status.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on road projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Professional membership with a recognized institution, such as RICS or equivalent.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent knowledge of road construction techniques and industry practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in using relevant software for cost estimation and project management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail for accurate cost analysis.
Additional Information
- Assignment duration: Until the end of 2026, with the possibility of extension.
- Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia for project-related activities.
