Role Overview
Sr Principal Professional Services Project Manager at Aspen Technology, supporting the Middle East region.

Role Purpose
Lead the delivery of cutting-edge technology projects for market-leading organizations in the process industry, ensuring successful execution from initiation through completion. This is a highly visible role offering significant influence with internal stakeholders and clients, with the opportunity to drive project success and deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Strategically monitor and manage projects across multiple locations and business functions.
- Deliver software implementation projects on budget and on schedule with high customer satisfaction.
- Execute all project management phases from initiation through delivery to closeout.
- Bring projects back on track through implementation of changes, clear leadership and best practices.
Team & Resource Management
- Provide functional supervision of contractors, consultants and engineers assigned to the projects.
- Build and manage diverse teams to deliver required business results.
- Work collaboratively among teams including R&D, Support, Product Management, Sales and other organizations.
- Lead through influence rather than formal hierarchy.
Client & Stakeholder Relations
- Communicate and develop relationships with clients.
- Ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction through world-class delivery practices.
- Adapt and tune communication to accommodate different levels of stakeholders.
- Establish long-term customer relationships and ensure delivery success.
Governance & Administration
- Comply with all reporting, project administration, and documentation requirements.
- Create detailed project plans, meaningful presentations and accurate financial reports.
- Manage scope, time, cost, quality, risk and procurement across all projects.
Problem Solving & Analysis
- Identify key issues, develop and evaluate alternative solutions and make improvements.
- Translate business requirements into project deliverables and tasks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of project management leadership experience with IT initiatives.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of project management experience overall.
- Experience in the process industry, preferably oil & gas, petrochemicals or related sectors.
- Experience managing multiple projects impacting different business functions and multiple locations.
- Experience with international customers, mainly in the Middle East region; experience in Eastern Europe and India is also desirable.
- Industry recognized Project Management certification is desirable.
- Experience in both waterfall and agile project management is desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent analysis skills and ability to translate business requirements into project deliverables and tasks.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills, with ability to listen and articulate status and issues.
- Technical understanding to enable effective delivery of technology projects including new systems implementations.
- Proficiency in key areas of project management including scope, time, cost, quality, risk and procurement.
- Team building and management skills.
- Customer focus and commitment to satisfaction and delivery success.
- Problem solving ability to identify issues, develop and evaluate alternative solutions and make improvements.
Additional Information
- Must be able and willing to travel at least 25% of time, including international travel.
