Role Overview
Senior Manager, Field Engineering at Databricks, based in the UAE. Lead a team of technical pre-sales Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers across the UAE market.

Role Purpose
Lead and scale a pre-sales field engineering team that drives revenue through solution-focused selling, mentors and coaches technical talent, and builds strategic partnerships with enterprise customers across the UAE market.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Hire, mentor and grow the pre-sales team for the UAE market
- Build a motivated collaborative culture within a hyper-growth team to embody and promote Databricks customer-obsessed, teamwork and diverse culture
- Mentor and scale technical teams
- Institute processes for technical field members to lead efficiency and product focus
Sales Partnership & Revenue
- Partner with the sales organisation to drive revenue with the right approach whilst coaching sales and pre-sales teams to work together
- Support increased return on investment of SA involvement in sales cycles
- Support complex sales cycles
- Display an understanding of needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned region
Solution & Customer Strategy
- Ensure a solution and value-based selling within the field-engineering organization
- Engage with key customer executives to build and strengthen strategic partnerships
- Ensure close alignment with partners and internal services to secure implementation strategies within accounts
- Communicate complex, business value-focused solutions to enterprise clients
Market Leadership & Brand
- Continue to build Databricks' brand as a member of the Leadership team in partnership with Marketing and Sales teams across the region
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience managing a team of successful Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals
- Experience in consumption-based business environments
- Technical or consulting background in Data Engineering, Database technologies or Data Science
- Experience dealing with clients in UAE
- Fluency in Arabic and English
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to partner and collaborate with Sales and other cross-functional leaders
- Passionate about data and AI market and Cloud software models
- Ability to deliver a strong point of view on the value of Databricks solutions
