Role Overview
Senior Business Analyst – Supply Chain Management at Alghanim Industries. This role leads projects and business process improvement initiatives across Supply Chain, Logistics, Fulfilment, Last Mile Delivery, Home Delivery, Installation Services, Returns, and Marketplace operations.
Role Purpose
Serve as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, driving requirement definition, process optimization, solution design, and successful delivery of strategic supply chain initiatives. This individual will drive business process improvements, analyze operational performance, and proactively identify technology opportunities to modernize and automate systems across the supply chain and logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Documentation
- Lead business analysis activities across Supply Chain and Logistics functions.
- Drive requirements and process improvements for delivery scheduling, dispatch, home delivery, installation services, reverse logistics, returns and marketplace fulfilment.
- Facilitate workshops and develop BRDs, user stories, process flows and acceptance criteria.
- Capture and document business requirements.
Process Optimization & Analysis
- Analyze operational KPIs and recommend automation and optimization opportunities.
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions ensuring they meet business needs.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Assess potential technology solutions and vendors, developing scorecards and recommendations to business and IT teams.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Management
- Collaborate with Business, IT, Architecture, QA and external vendors.
- Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Engage with other Business Analysts and developers across other functional domains to ensure knowledge sharing.
- Recommend solutions that could benefit other business areas.
- Manage multiple stakeholders from business teams, IT teams, external vendors, and delivery partners.
Delivery & Agile Execution
- Support with sprint planning to deliver approved backlog of change.
- Produce deliverables ensuring timely completion.
Technology & Innovation
- Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Follow technology trends and determine potential business value to proactively suggest ideas to business and IT teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- University degree, ideally from a business or technology discipline.
- 7+ years of Business Analysis experience.
- Minimum 4 years in Supply Chain, Logistics, Fulfilment or Retail Operations.
- Experience in digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end retail fulfilment lifecycle.
- Implementation and deployment of OMS and WMS is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of retail business drivers, related processes, and technology trends.
- Experience working on agile projects (end-to-end) and traditional waterfall projects.
