Role Overview
Specialists - Petroleum Products Regulations at BlackStone eIT, responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing regulations related to petroleum products to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with national and international standards.
Role Purpose
Develop and enforce regulatory frameworks governing petroleum products across the supply chain, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while collaborating with industry and government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Development & Framework
- Develop and review regulatory frameworks governing the handling, storage, distribution, and sale of petroleum products.
- Analyze market trends and update regulatory policies accordingly.
- Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and recommendations for regulatory improvements.
Compliance & Oversight
- Monitor compliance with regulations and safety standards across the petroleum supply chain.
- Oversee trading licenses, operational permits, and safety compliance across petroleum activities including diesel, gasoline, kerosene, and lubricants.
- Monitor supply chain activities, import/export documentation, and distribution compliance in line with national energy security goals.
Inspections & Assessments
- Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments related to petroleum product facilities.
- Review and implement regulatory frameworks for fuel terminals, retail stations, bulk storage, and mobile tankers.
Stakeholder Engagement & Guidance
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and regulatory bodies to align regulations and policies.
- Provide technical guidance and training on petroleum product regulations and safety practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in regulating the trade, storage, transportation, and handling of petroleum products.
- Proven expertise in reviewing and implementing regulatory frameworks for fuel terminals, retail stations, bulk storage, and mobile tankers.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or equivalent).
