Role Overview

Specialist Physician—OLHN & ENT at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), providing primary care for patients suffering from injuries and common illnesses, with potential specialization in anesthesiology, family and general medicine, internal medicine, or pediatrics.

Role Purpose

To deliver compassionate, evidence-based medical care to patients by examining, diagnosing, and treating injuries, illnesses, and disorders while maintaining detailed clinical records and collaborating effectively with the broader healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Assessment

• Examine patients and take comprehensive medical histories.
• Address patients' concerns and answer their questions.
• Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and disorders.
• Explain medical procedures to patients before execution.

Diagnostic & Therapeutic Planning

• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Explain diagnostic results to patients.
• Recommend and design treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications or therapies.
• Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, preventative healthcare, and lifestyle changes.

Documentation & Compliance

• Update patients' charts and information to reflect current findings and treatments.
• Comply with medical laws, including HIPAA.

Collaboration & Consultation

• Consult with other physicians on complex cases.
• Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, medical assistants, and other physicians.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree and successful completion of residency and internship.
• State license and certification to practice medicine.
• Knowledge and experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of illnesses.
