Specialist Lifting Operation Engineer - ( WHT's Subsea Cable & Piping)

Role Overview

Specialist Lifting Operation Engineer for WHT's Subsea Cable & Piping with KBR, based initially in Abu Dhabi. The role supports an Offshore Well Head Tower/Platform Project with rotation between client office, contractor's office, fabrication yard, and offshore site on a 6 weeks/3 weeks rotation as per client requirement.

Role Purpose

To provide specialist lifting operation engineering expertise for subsea cable and piping activities on a major offshore well head tower platform project, ensuring safe and efficient execution across design, fabrication, and offshore installation phases.

Key Responsibilities

Lifting Operations

• Lead lifting operation planning and execution for subsea cable and piping components.
• Oversee lifting equipment selection, rigging, and load management.
• Monitor lifting activities to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Project Execution

• Deliver lifting engineering support across FEED, design, fabrication, and offshore installation phases.
• Facilitate coordination between client office, contractor's office, fabrication yard, and offshore site teams.
• Partner with project stakeholders on lifting operation requirements and constraints.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 17+ years of overall experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Minimum 5+ years of previous experience working on ADNOC projects.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in similar position on mega Oil and Gas FEED/EPC projects valued at more than US$ 1 Billion.
• Experience working on Well Head Tower and Subsea Cable & Piping within Brownfield Modification projects is an added advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

Additional Information

• Work location rotates between Abu Dhabi (client or contractor office initially), fabrication yard, and offshore site.
• Rotation pattern: 6 weeks offshore / 3 weeks onshore, as per client requirement.
