Specialist - FZ Inspection

Role Overview

Specialist - FZ Inspection at AD Ports Group. The role supervises and provides oversight of planned and unplanned inspections of Free Zone companies for marine activities, liaising with outsourced inspection teams to regulate safe operations in Free Zones.

Role Purpose

To ensure safe and compliant operations across Free Zone companies by overseeing inspection activities, reviewing team performance, managing compliance data, and supporting the development of inspection effectiveness and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection Planning & Implementation

• Prepare and ensure implementation of inspection plans for Free Zone service and operational companies.
• Review inspections team performance for the inspection of service and operational companies.

Compliance & Standards

• Verify compliance with safety and security standards and requirements and environmental regulations.
• Review and evaluate database on violations and fine management.
• Review and evaluate reports regarding violations and progress of inspections of companies, facilities and observations.

Permitting & Systems

• Liaise with automated MAQTA gateway system and DED permit system.
• Assist in issuing NOCs and Operational Permits.

Reporting & Recommendations

• Submit recommendations for necessary corrective measures in accordance with the requirements of the department to the concerned authority after approval of the department head.
• Review and submit KPI reports and recommendations of Inspection to the Department.

Stakeholder Management

• Support in strengthening relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are provided in accordance with the best standards.

Team Management

• Manage daily schedules of Inspection specialists.

Strategic Development

• Support in development of Inspection effectiveness assessment, including suggesting areas for improvement in regulatory framework for companies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering studies, HSE, civil engineering, Business management, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated background in HSEQ / OSHAD functions, with experience in conducting inspections.
• Minimum 5–6 years of relevant experience in Free Zones or Economic Zones.

Skills & Competencies

• Arabic language proficiency.
• English language proficiency.
