Specialist, Flow Assurance at ADNOC, Abu Dhabi.

Role Purpose
Guide and assist engineers with expert advice on scale management activities, analyzing well problems and recommending investigative and corrective measures. Research, probe and analyze the latest scale and asphaltene management technologies, techniques, chemicals and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Scale Management & Technical Expertise
- Provide expert advice on proper handling of scale deposits across well completion and updating of the Scale Simulation Model Software.
- Identify scale and asphaltene problems and design and prepare programs for removal treatment using chemical and mechanical methods.
- Provide expert advice on scope of work for chemical selection and testing criteria.
- Supervise monitoring and analysis of field trials for selected chemicals through strict evaluation criterion.
- Evaluate and recommend best chemicals for long-term down-hole applications.
- Liaison with chemical suppliers and services companies' engineers to keep abreast of recent developments in scale monitoring, treatment and prevention.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Supervise all implementation programs and operations to ensure they are carried out in accordance with Scale Management System standards and practices through auditing compliance campaigns.
- Oversee Scale Management System process output, identify sub-standard practices and performances, and recommend corrective measures.
- Implement approved Section and Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures to support execution of work programs in line with company and international standards.
Planning & Operations
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards.
Financial & Budget Management
- Provide input for preparation of the Section and Department budgets.
- Assist in the implementation of the approved budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Reporting & Performance
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for company management.
- Contribute to the achievement of approved Performance Objectives for the Section and Department in line with the company performance framework.
People & Development
- Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient and deliver section objectives.
Health, Safety & Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures and controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- 8 years of experience, including at least 5 years in upstream gathering systems.
