Role Overview
Specialist Endocrinologist at Astra ProMed, Dubai. Full-time position for a female specialist to provide expert assessment, diagnosis and management of endocrine and metabolic disorders within a leading hospital setting.
Role Purpose
Deliver specialist-level endocrinology care to patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders through comprehensive outpatient and inpatient consultations, while collaborating with multidisciplinary medical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis
- Diagnose and manage a broad range of endocrine and metabolic disorders.
- Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient endocrinology consultations.
- Review and interpret laboratory, hormonal and diagnostic investigations.
Specialty Disease Management
- Manage patients with diabetes mellitus and related complications.
- Evaluate and treat thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disorders.
- Manage pituitary disorders and other hormonal abnormalities.
- Assess and manage osteoporosis and metabolic bone disorders.
Treatment and Monitoring
- Provide evidence-based treatment plans and ongoing monitoring.
- Provide appropriate counselling regarding lifestyle, nutrition and long-term disease management.
Documentation and Coordination
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Coordinate patient care with other medical and surgical specialties where required.
Governance and Education
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance and quality-improvement activities.
- Contribute to teaching and supervision of junior medical staff where required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Recognised Specialist qualification in Endocrinology or Endocrinology and Metabolism.
- Relevant postgraduate training and clinical experience in Endocrinology.
- Strong experience managing diabetes and a broad range of endocrine disorders.
- Current professional registration and licence in the country of practice.
- Eligibility for DHA licensing in Dubai, subject to DHA assessment and approval.

Additional Information
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Maximum package: AED 45,000 per month, inclusive of housing and travel allowance.
- One month hotel accommodation upon arrival in Dubai.
- Flight, visa and employment sponsorship covered by the hospital.
- Internal support with DHA licensing.
- Health insurance for the employee, spouse and up to 3 children.
- Annual return flight for the employee, spouse and up to 2 children.
- 30 days of annual leave in accordance with UAE labour law.
