Role Overview

Specialist, Contracts at ADNOC. This is a contracts specialist role focused on offshore contract development, management, and administration within the energy maritime logistics sector.

Role Purpose

Develop, manage, and administer offshore contracts by researching legal regulations, negotiating terms, preparing documentation, and providing contractual strategy advice to the Management Team regarding change orders, variations, and claims to ensure contract management activities are communicated, aligned, monitored, and measured.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Bidding

  • Prepare Request for Expression of Interest to potential bidders and assist in evaluation of responses.
  • Prepare Bidders Lists.
  • Examine scope of work and other information provided by End Users and/or consultants for completeness and consistency.
  • Prepare comprehensive Invitation-To-Tender (ITT) packages using standard forms and coordinate issuance to approved bidders.
  • Prepare all correspondence to bidders during the bidding period with necessary input from End User, where required.
  • Coordinate and attend technical and commercial bid openings.
  • Perform evaluation of unpriced commercial aspects of the technical bid and evaluation of commercial bid.
  • Prepare recommendations for award and Notice of Award.

Contract Development & Documentation

  • Prepare contract document(s) confirming agreed changes to the ITT package.
  • Proofread, edit, and verify legal documentation for accuracy and consistency.
  • Review contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable local regulations.
  • Provide contractual advice to End Users and prepare contractual correspondence.

Contract Management & Administration

  • Maintain and update computerized or manual records (contract logs).
  • Monitor the progress of contract execution according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner.
  • Establish procedures for transferring Contracts to Operations after demobilization of Project team.
  • Review and evaluate variations and claims, prepare recommendations for approval of management and prepare contract amendments, as required.
  • Handle contractor claims and breaches effectively and resolve issues on behalf of the company.
  • Assist clients to terminate contracts on favourable terms.

Health, Safety & Environment

  • Ensure understanding, adherence, and participation in relevant HSE requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, law, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least 4 years of relevant contract experience in Offshore Marine related to the Oil & Gas industry.
  • In-depth knowledge in Oil & Gas Business Planning, offshore contracts, and core marine processes.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant regulations and Oil & Gas production operations.
