Sourcing Specialist

Role Overview

Sourcing Specialist at Emirates Flight Catering. This role is based at the company's catering operations facility.

Role Purpose

Execute end-to-end procurement activities across food and beverage and non-food and beverage categories, from supplier identification and negotiation through contract management, to drive cost efficiency, quality, and service excellence while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Negotiations & Contracting

• Execute supplier negotiations and finalize award recommendations.
• Establish contracts that optimize cost savings, quality, and service levels.
• Negotiate supplier contracts to maximize value and maintain high service quality standards.
• Enhance supplier performance for the Company.

Sourcing Strategy & Innovation

• Implement innovative sourcing strategies by researching new products and methodologies.
• Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of sourcing activities.
• Establish SMART objectives for sourcing initiatives.
• Provide regular, objective feedback to support performance improvement and achievement of targets.

Cost Management & Financial Benefits

• Lead and implement cost-saving initiatives to deliver measurable financial benefits.
• Enhance overall business profitability and efficiency.
• Monitor and report category spend, savings, and supplier performance.
• Offer insights that support strategic decision-making.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Relationship Management

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize and align purchasing activities.
• Ensure timely and effective fulfillment of business needs.
• Strengthen supplier relationships to position the Company as a preferred client.
• Promote continuous service and performance improvements.

Process & Systems Optimization

• Utilize e-Sourcing and e-Procurement tools to drive efficiency.
• Derive optimal results from supplier engagements and sourcing opportunities.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies.
• Integrate relevant requirements into all sourcing and contract documents.
• Support a safe and responsible procurement process.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Professional qualification in procurement (e.g., MCIPS or equivalent).
• Minimum 6 years of overall experience with 3 years in relevant field preferred.
• Hands-on experience in procurement or category management, ideally within the aviation, airline catering, or hospitality industries.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient understanding of both food and beverage and non-food and beverage procurement categories.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.
• Enable efficient management of procurement processes.
• Familiarity with effective sourcing techniques and vendor relationship management.
• Drive cost-efficiency and quality.
• Understanding of contractual terms and conditions.
• Ensure favorable and compliant agreements with suppliers.
