Sourcing Specialist

Role Overview

Sourcing Specialist at GE VERNOVA. This role manages the buying process for defined commodities, applying sourcing policy to interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders on specifications and budgets.

Role Purpose

Execute the end-to-end procurement cycle from purchase order to supplier payment while maintaining quality, safety, delivery, and cost standards. Drive continuous improvement in sourcing operations and supplier performance for assigned commodity categories.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Execution

• Execute the purchase order to supplier payment process for defined commodities aligning with organization safety, quality, delivery, and cost measures.
• Maintain up-to-date data in ERP.

Performance & Reporting

• Lead the reporting and control for one or more of the sourcing team KPIs.

Stakeholder Management

• Engage with internal customers for fulfilment challenges resolution.
• Maintain relationship with suppliers to ensure business continuity.

Supplier & Commodity Development

• Develop and execute an improvement plan for the assigned commodities through daily management, supplier qualification, and negotiation.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Basic experience in sourcing.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Microsoft Office Excel experience.
• Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
• Process improvement mindset.
