Role Purpose

You will play an instrumental part in growing Cohere's business in the UAE and MENA region by partnering with account executives, partners, and executive leadership to communicate and demonstrate the value of Cohere's technology to the market. You will operate at the cross-section of Forward Deployed Engineering and AI transformation, serving as a technical expert, trusted advisor, product evangelist, and thought leader who personally leads the design and deployment of customer pilots for strategic enterprise and government customers.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Technical Leadership

• Lead the technical talk track on customer calls.
• Develop a deep understanding of customer problems and map them to Cohere solutions.
• Serve as the trusted technical advisor and relationship owner with customer stakeholders.
• Conduct deep dives on customer queries and Cohere technology.

Solution Design & Delivery

• Design enterprise architectures for deployments.
• Personally lead the design and deployment of customer pilots that showcase technology impact.
• Facilitate customer evaluations and pilots.
• Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure offerings match customer needs.

Customer Advocacy & Strategy

• Own the customer narrative and serve as the voice of the customer to the product team.
• Act as a liaison between customers and the product team.
• Provide guidance on best practices for using Cohere.
• Identify areas for improvement within the platform.
• Cultivate technical champions within customer organizations to drive adoption and gather feedback.

Partner Enablement

• Work closely with partners to develop a strategy for enabling and accelerating their customers.

Process & Scaling

• Develop and document processes to enable the solutions architect team and adjacent teams to scale effectively within Cohere.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of customer-facing technical pre-sales or post-sales experience as a Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Digital Strategy Consultant, or similar role.
• 2+ years architecting, deploying, or consulting on NLP/AI/LLM solutions (preferred).
• Familiarity with foundational ML concepts including training and evaluation.
• Native-level Arabic.
• Must be based in Dubai, UAE.

Skills & Competencies

• Technical expertise in Generative AI with understanding of strengths and weaknesses of Generative LLMs and AI technologies.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present seamlessly to CEOs and technical audiences.
• Comfortable working with Python and Assistive Coding tools.
• Ability to identify and implement high-impact processes in unstructured environments.
• Thrives in ambiguous and uncharted environments.
