Role Overview
Site Reliability Engineer at DeepLight, a specialist AI and data consultancy based in the UAE. You will own production readiness, resilience, and operational health of cutting-edge AI solutions as the company expands across the GCC.

Role Purpose
Bridge application quality, MLOps, and cloud resilience by building automated test suites that validate complex LLM and RAG model outputs, engineering chaos-resilient cloud environments, and establishing bulletproof observability frameworks. Ensure applications deliver banking-grade performance under heavy enterprise traffic.
Key Responsibilities
Load Testing & Automation
- Implement load testing, fault-injection techniques, and self-healing automation to ensure web and mobile backends and AI microservices sustain banking-scale traffic.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Build Python-driven, CI/CD-integrated regression test suites that validate application logic, data pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code states.
- Integrate specialized AI evaluation harnesses such as DeepEval and Ragas into deployment pipelines to benchmark model accuracy, hallucinations, and retrieval performance for RAG systems.
Observability & Performance
- Define and track critical Service Level Indicators and Objectives.
- Set up real-time telemetry, dashboards, and proactive alerting to catch performance degradation before users do.
Security & Compliance
- Automate security scans and privacy checks to satisfy strict banking data residency standards.
- Monitor compute efficiency to eliminate redundant cloud spend.
Qualifications & Experience
- High proficiency in Python (mandatory) and Bash scripting.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure or AWS, focusing on cloud networking, auto-scaling topologies, containerized environments, and serverless reliability.
- Experience with automation test frameworks such as PyTest, Selenium, or Robot Framework.
- Solid grasp of prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and model evaluation metrics including ROUGE and BLEU scores, LLM benchmarks, LangSmith, and Ragas.
- Experience operating in financial services, banking, or highly regulated enterprise environments where zero downtime and data privacy are non-negotiable.
Skills & Competencies
Modern Tooling Command
- CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code: GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Terraform (reading and validating state).
- Performance and Load: K6 or JMeter.
- Observability: Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, Grafana, or Prometheus.
Desirable Technical Skills
- Experience managing production Kubernetes clusters (AKS/EKS), service meshes, and container security scanners.
- Familiarity with UAE Central Bank regulatory guidelines, NESA security compliance, and data residency mandates.
- Formal industry credentials such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or SRE certification.
