Role Overview
Site Nurse at MIRA Construction. The role provides primary healthcare services at a construction site, ensuring the health and safety of employees through first aid, medical emergency management, medical records maintenance, and workplace wellness promotion in compliance with UAE regulations.
Role Purpose
Deliver immediate and ongoing healthcare support to construction site employees and visitors, respond effectively to workplace medical incidents, and maintain compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Emergency & First Aid Response
- Provide immediate first aid and emergency medical treatment to employees and visitors on site.
- Assess injuries and illnesses and determine whether further medical attention or hospitalization is required.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures and arrange ambulance services when necessary.
Health Monitoring & Medical Management
- Monitor the health and wellbeing of employees and maintain accurate medical records.
- Administer prescribed medications and basic treatments within the scope of practice.
- Support pre-employment and periodic medical examinations where required.
Occupational Health & Safety
- Assist in implementing occupational health and safety programs.
- Work closely with the HSE team to investigate workplace incidents and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure compliance with DHA/MOH/DOH regulations and company health and safety policies.
Health Promotion & Awareness
- Promote health awareness and educate employees on workplace safety and preventive healthcare.
Medical Administration
- Conduct regular inspections of first aid kits and ensure medical supplies are fully stocked.
- Maintain confidential medical documentation in accordance with company policies and UAE regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
- Valid DHA, MOH, or DOH Nursing License, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in a construction, industrial, or occupational health environment.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory. ACLS is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Excellent emergency response and first aid skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
