Site Engineer

Role Overview

Site Engineer at Al Tayer Group. This role is responsible for developing and implementing the project program on site in an organized and cost-effective manner in accordance with approved design, quality standards, and agreed timeframes.

Role Purpose

Manage on-site project execution, coordinate resources and personnel, ensure quality compliance, and maintain communication with project management and stakeholders to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

• Obtain project drawings and assess material and manpower requirements accurately.
• Hand over material requirements to the Purchase Department to enable procurement after approval.
• Monitor project progress against the project plan and report discrepancies or delays for corrective action.
• Regularly liaise with Site Management on adherence to project program and highlight discrepancies.

Site Operations & Supervision

• Organize and manage the workforce and supervise the site.
• Keep the Manager updated on project progress.
• Attend to all technical and engineering problems in an effective and timely manner.
• Address additional manpower requirements and drawing changes.
• Oversee sub-contractors for various works and monitor all jobs for timely completion and compliance.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct quality checks and complete quality checklists with the QC Inspector on works carried out.
• Ensure that products meet specifications.

Project Closeout

• Coordinate site demobilization on project completion.
• Prepare applicable reports.
• Execute issued snag lists from consultants.

People Management

• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and produce quality work.
• Ensure that subordinates are continuously developed for higher-level roles.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in the interior contracting or construction industry.
