Role Overview
Site Engineer at NMDC Group. This role supports the Project/Construction Manager in supervising and managing construction activities on assigned projects.
Role Purpose
To assist in the supervision, coordination, and quality control of construction activities, ensuring work progresses on schedule, meets specifications and safety standards, and is completed within budget and agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Progress Management
- Conduct daily briefings with site team leaders to follow up on work progress and anticipate delays against planned tasks.
- Take immediate corrective action to prevent cumulative effect of deviations and recover schedule delays to complete tasks on time.
- Ensure projects meet agreed specifications, budgets, and timescales.
Planning & Sequencing
- Assist in planning and sequencing of construction operations according to the Project Quality Plan.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Evaluate and resolve discrepancies and problems arising during construction that affect quality of works performed.
- Establish, report, and follow up on all non-conformance activities.
- Prepare and initiate site inspections with the consultant in accordance with QC procedures.
- Inspect and prepare completion lists for works done by subcontractors after acceptance inspection by the consultant.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure awareness of safety and compliance with HSE rules and regulations by subordinates and contractors.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Attend meetings with required concerns to solve technical issues and other related matters on subcontracts for discussing obstacles and progress of works.
- Coordinate and liaise with the handing over of completed works to client and subcontractors.
- Complete necessary rectification works.
Technical Support
- Provide technical support to other team members.
