Role Overview
Site Engineer at WSP Middle East. The role is based on-site in the Middle East region.
Role Purpose
Oversee and manage engineering activities on a construction site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements while coordinating between design, construction teams, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Coordination
- Monitor construction progress and adherence to project schedules.
- Coordinate daily site activities and liaise between design teams and construction contractors.
- Ensure site operations align with approved project plans and specifications.
Quality & Compliance
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks on all construction work.
- Verify compliance with engineering standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Document all site activities and maintain comprehensive project records.
Safety & Risk Management
- Enforce and monitor site safety protocols and procedures.
- Identify and report potential hazards or risks on site.
- Ensure all personnel follow health and safety regulations.
Technical Support
- Provide technical guidance and resolve on-site engineering issues.
- Review drawings and specifications with construction teams.
- Support value engineering and design clarification requests.
Stakeholder Communication
- Report project status and site progress to project management and clients.
- Communicate changes, delays, or issues to relevant parties promptly.
