Site Engineer - MEP

Role Overview

Site Engineer - MEP at Galadari Brothers, based on-site for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects.

Role Purpose

Manage MEP projects from design coordination through handover, ensuring timely execution, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to specifications. Supervise workforce and subcontractors, coordinate across internal and external teams, and support all technical and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Coordination

• Manage MEP projects, ensuring timely execution, cost efficiency, and compliance with project specifications.
• Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and manage snagging activities for project handover.
• Prepare and submit material submittals, ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Design & Technical Review

• Review project specifications, IFC drawings, and raise RFIs for clarifications.
• Coordinate with the design team for preparation and approval of MEP drawings and calculations.

Site Supervision & Quality Assurance

• Supervise and guide the workforce and subcontractors to ensure adherence to QA/QC standards and timelines.
• Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to approved designs, specifications, and safety standards.

Stakeholder Management & Liaison

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including civil, architectural, consultant, and client teams, to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Provide regular updates to the MEP Division In-Charge on progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Testing, Commissioning & Regulatory Compliance

• Support testing and commissioning processes, providing technical insights and resolving issues.
• Facilitate authority inspections, including DEWA, DCD, and SIRA, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Documentation & Administration

• Ensure proper documentation and filing of project-related materials in coordination with the document controller.

Qualifications & Experience

• DM-approved Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience as an MEP Engineer in the UAE.
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred).

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and construction-related software.
• Strong technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with a focus on deadlines and quality.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse stakeholders.
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and safety compliance.
• Proactive and organized approach to project documentation and team management.
