Role Overview
Site Civil Engineer at AtkinsRéalis. This position is focused on ensuring that large-scale construction projects are executed in line with contractual, technical, and quality requirements.

Role Purpose
Monitor construction execution to ensure work is completed according to contract requirements, identify performance variances, coordinate corrective actions, and maintain oversight of quality, progress, and compliance across all project deliverables and stakeholder activities.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Monitoring & Compliance
- Monitor construction to ensure work is being completed according to contract requirements.
- Review construction progress and quality control.
- Monitor compliance with approved coordinated method statements for carrying out the works.
- Verify and maintain copies of Daily Report.
Performance & Quality Management
- Identify areas where contractor performance or expected outcome varies from desired.
- Propose actions and coordinate with all parties to ensure future outcome is in line with project deliverables.
- Monitor quality of product, information, and coordination provided by the consultant.
- Monitor the quality and timeliness of inspections carried out by the consultant.
Submittals & Documentation
- Monitor the information provided by contractors on requests for information (RFIs).
- Monitor response, quality, and timing from consultants on technical site issues and RFI requests.
- Monitor the information provided by contractors on shop drawing submittals.
- Monitor response quality and timing from consultants on shop drawing submittals.
- Monitor the timing of submittals against schedule requirements.
- Monitor the number of re-submittals required to obtain approval.
Resource & Information Management
- Monitor suitability and availability of drawings and other data to ensure the Contractor has the right information for the work in hand.
- Monitor staffing levels and suitability of abilities for outstanding work items.
Supervision & Leadership
- Manage, supervise, and monitor subordinates (Local Engineers / Civil).
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience.
- Extensive site experience in site supervision team.
- Experience in Mega projects.
- Working knowledge of conditions of contract.
