Role Overview
Site Buyer at CB&I, reporting to the Project Procurement Lead. This is a project site-based role requiring 2-3 months of training at the Dubai office.

Role Purpose
The Site Buyer identifies varied sources of commodities and services, evaluates bids, awards contracts and purchase orders, maintains vendor relationships, and maintains comprehensive descriptions of available products and current prices of CB&I Storage Solutions' products and services.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Sourcing
- Proactively seek out and qualify new potential bidders.
- Prepare contract documents and bidders lists.
- Assemble and distribute requests for quotation from vendors.
- Responsible for purchase of project material and project services at or below estimate using procurement processes while maintaining consistency with schedule requirements.
- Perform bid evaluations and issue purchase orders for commodity items and finished goods.
- Negotiate small to medium value purchase orders for regional and international purchases.
- Assist with the evaluation, award and conforming process.
Vendor Management
- Maintain contact with vendors.
- Resolve simple claim or dispute events with vendors.
Estimating & Planning
- Support the evaluation, award and conforming process.
- May be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor to support estimating and proposal efforts for non-major projects.
Continuous Improvement & Development
- Proactively recommend, support and implement improvements to tools, systems and software to improve efficiency and maximize autonomy.

Qualifications & Experience
- BA or BS degree in Supply Chain, Business, Technical or Engineering, Construction Management or related field (Required).
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience (Preferred).
- EPC Industry experience (Preferred).
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include criminal or civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Skills & Competencies
- Adaptability and agility to learn and contribute in varying and complex environments.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Advanced computer skills or ability to quickly learn: Microsoft Excel with advanced formulas and macros, Databases and MS Office.
- JD Edwards (JDE) software experience (Preferred).
- Comprehension of contract terms and conditions language.
- Proficiency in mathematics and analysis of cost-benefits and value-based decision making.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Additional Information
- This is a project site-based role.
- Preference will be given to candidates with single status due to the nature of the assignment and location requirements.
