Role Overview

Service Technician (Field) - Electronics Home Appliances at Alghanim Industries. This is a field-based position responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing parts for household appliances.

Role Purpose

Diagnose, repair, and replace parts for all household appliances, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining company performance objectives and working independently in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnosis & Repair

• Prescreen, identify, analyze, and repair appliance and electronic product failures ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Configure and troubleshoot hardware including audio-DSP, A/V control, video and audio devices, and USB-based software applications.

Planning & Procurement

• Order necessary parts after initial prescreen so they are in hand before going to customers' location.

Documentation & Administration

• Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Perform daily administrative functions to include warranty claims and report submission.

Equipment & Inventory Management

• Maintain company vehicle, tools, equipment, and parts inventory.

Field Operations

• Work independently without onsite supervision.
• Rely on personal judgment for safety regarding work.
• Maintain performance objectives as required by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3 to 5 years field service experience in all major home appliances.
• Possess appropriate Refrigerant Handling Certificate(s), CET (HVAC), and other applicable appliance or electronics service certifications.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge and proficient use of electronic, appliance, and refrigeration tools and diagnostic test equipment.
• Proficient in MS Office and Smartphone technology with the ability to quickly learn proprietary software applications.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.

Additional Information

• Valid driver's license with a clear driving record required.
• Meet physical requirements generally associated with field service repair, including lifting and bending.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
