Senior Transport Planner

Role Overview

Senior Transport Planner at AECOM, Abu Dhabi. Lead transport planning and modelling studies for major infrastructure projects and provide technical expertise on traffic and transport planning matters.

Role Purpose

To lead transport planning studies and develop transport strategies for major infrastructure and development projects while providing technical guidance to junior staff and liaising with government authorities on transport planning approvals.

Key Responsibilities

Transport Planning & Modelling

• Lead transport planning studies including traffic modelling and impact assessments.
• Develop transport strategies for major infrastructure and development projects.
• Review and validate traffic modelling outputs and assumptions.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Prepare technical reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Liaise with government authorities on transport planning approvals.

Team & Project Support

• Provide technical guidance to junior transport planning staff.
• Support multidisciplinary project teams on transport-related matters.

Professional Development

• Stay current with regional transport planning standards and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of transport planning experience.
• GCC experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in traffic modelling software (VISUM, SATURN, or similar).
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English required.
