Senior Transport Engineer

Role Purpose

Lead the design and technical delivery of transport infrastructure projects while conducting traffic impact assessments, transport modelling, and feasibility studies. Ensure compliance with UAE transport regulations and international standards, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with clients and authorities to deliver innovative, sustainable transport solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Project Design and Delivery

• Lead the design and technical delivery of transport infrastructure projects including roads, intersections, and traffic systems.
• Conduct traffic impact assessments, transport modelling, and feasibility studies.

Technical Analysis and Modelling

• Use software tools such as SIDRA, AIMSUN, and VISSIM for network analysis and simulation.

Compliance and Standards

• Ensure compliance with UAE transport regulations and international standards.

Stakeholder and Authority Relations

• Maintain strong working relationships with ITC and other transport authorities.
• Collaborate with clients, authorities, and internal teams to ensure project alignment and delivery excellence.

Team Leadership and Development

• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

Documentation and Communication

• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.

Business Support

• Support tender preparation and contribute to business development initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transport Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in transport engineering, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
• Extensive experience working in Abu Dhabi with developers and ITC is preferred.
• Proficiency in traffic modelling tools (SIDRA, AIMSUN, VISSIM).
• Strong understanding of UAE transport authority requirements.
