Senior Technician

Role Overview

Senior Technician position at Al Shirawi Group.

Role Purpose

Troubleshoot, service, commission, and maintain VRF and air conditioning systems independently at job sites, using diagnostic software and technical expertise to resolve system failures and ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

Troubleshooting & Diagnosis

• Troubleshoot and identify root causes of system failures and underperformance.
• Examine schematic wiring diagrams to locate and resolve electrical issues.
• Use manufacturer's software via laptop or tablet to check system data and parameters.
• Conduct pressure testing and vacuumizing of refrigeration systems.

Service & Maintenance

• Service and maintain VRF systems on-site.
• Service air conditioning systems.
• Carry out replacement of spare parts.
• Conduct brazing of refrigeration systems.

Commissioning & Installation

• Commission air conditioning units.
• Install thermostats.
• Select appropriate equipment.

Client Communication & Documentation

• Explain issues and repair plans to clients in clear, accessible terms.
• Complete service reports following job completion to maintain accurate records.

Site Operations

• Work independently at job sites, solve problems, and make decisions without constant supervision.
• Follow standard safety protocols to protect yourself and others on-site.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency with laptops, tablets, or smartphones for running diagnostic software and completing reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing VRF systems.
• At least 3–4 years of total experience servicing air conditioning systems.
