Senior Technician

Role Overview

Senior Technician at Al Ghurair. This is a field-based maintenance and supervisory role responsible for the performance and oversight of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across facilities.

Role Purpose

To perform, supervise, and manage preventive and corrective maintenance of MEP systems, diagnose complex faults, respond to emergency breakdowns, and ensure all maintenance activities meet SLA/KPI requirements while maintaining compliance with HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations

• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems including DX units, FCUs, AHUs, package units, and chilled water systems.
• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems including DBs, MCCs, lighting, and controls.
• Perform and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of plumbing systems.
• Diagnose complex faults and carry out necessary repairs and rectifications.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed as per SLA/KPI requirements.

Emergency Response

• Attend emergency breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of services.

Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain service records, PPM checklists, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors for work execution.

Compliance

• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI in Mechanical/Electrical or equivalent.
• Minimum 5–8 years' experience in MEP maintenance (FM/AMC preferred).
• UAE/GCC experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise buildings preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills across MEP systems.
• Good knowledge of HVAC systems (DX and chilled water).
• Ability to supervise teams and manage site activities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.

Additional Information

• Ability to work in shifts and attend emergency calls.
• Physically fit for site work including heights and confined spaces if required.
