Role Overview

Senior Supply Chain Management Advisor at King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz University Hospital.

Role Purpose

Advise and coordinate contracts, planning and property control services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, patient service, or safety. Appraise and improve sourcing activities by analyzing health affairs' spending, supplying partnerships and new possibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing Strategy & Category Management

• Generate efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
• Develop new sourcing methods to facilitate KAAUH's operations.
• Review or update supply chain sourcing practices in accordance with new or changing policies, standards, regulations, or laws.

Cost Analysis & Expenditure Reduction

• Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking.

Supplier Relationships & Negotiations

• Invent negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals.
• Supervise price negotiations with suppliers.
• Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
• Discover and collaborate with trustworthy vendors and suppliers.
• Assist in supporting supplier relationships.
• Review Requests for Quotes.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.

Operations Optimization

• Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.

Risk Management

• Estimate risks and apply risk-minimizing techniques.

Organizational Culture & Quality

• Respect patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
• Participate in and support quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Perform other job related duties, as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
• 12 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
• Held leadership administrative role in a healthcare setting for at least 8 years.
• Saudi Nationality only.
