Role Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations. The role is based on-site at metro station construction projects and is critical to ensuring structural integrity, quality, and compliance with international standards throughout the construction phase.

Role Purpose
To supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems, while ensuring structural integrity, quality, and compliance with international standards throughout the construction phase.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision & Coordination
- Supervise the erection and installation of steel structures for Overground metro stations, including platforms, concourses, foot overbridges, and roofing systems.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to resolve technical issues on-site.
- Liaise with design teams to address site-related design modifications or clarifications.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure that all structural works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes (IS, IRC, Eurocode, etc.).
- Monitor construction progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals related to steel structures.
Inspection & Documentation
- Conduct regular site inspections and prepare detailed reports on structural works, including non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation of inspections, approvals, and quality records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil or structural engineering.
- 15 or more years of experience in building projects.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, welding, bolting, and erection techniques.
- Familiarity with structural drawings, connection detailing, and construction sequencing.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of BIM tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
