Role Overview
Senior Staff Nurse position at American Hospital Dubai, located in Nad Al Sheba Gardens.
Role Purpose
Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients across assigned clinical areas while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and professional practice.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation.
Leadership & Mentoring
- Lead and supervise junior nursing staff and support workers.
- Mentor and develop nursing team members.
- Model professional nursing standards and ethical practice.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures and clinical protocols.
- Report and escalate patient safety concerns and adverse events.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate effectively with patients, families and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Provide patient and family education regarding care and treatment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Current nursing registration or license required.
- Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in acute care hospital setting preferred.
