Role Overview

Senior Specialist, Warehouse Performance at ADNOC. This is a critical role responsible for optimizing warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with safety standards.

Role Purpose

The Senior Specialist, Warehouse Performance optimizes warehouse operations through analysis of performance metrics, implementation of best practices, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping processes. The role leads initiatives to integrate new technologies, improve warehouse processes, and drive operational excellence while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Operations

• Prepare and implement warehouse operations strategies and procedures that align with company goals and objectives.
• Lead the execution of best practices in inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping and receiving processes.
• Develop and manage the warehouse operations budget, ensuring cost reduction wherever possible.

Performance Analysis & Improvement

• Examine and analyze warehouse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address issues.
• Analyse industry trends and developments to implement new technologies and processes as appropriate.
• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best industry standards to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Compliance & Safety

• Review compliance with regulatory and safety requirements and execute corrective actions as needed.
• Examine warehouse facilities and equipment to ensure they are well-maintained and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Training & Development

• Develop and produce training programs for warehouse supervisors and staff to ensure adherence to safety and operating procedures.
• Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver respective business objectives.

Stakeholder Management

• Advise cross-functional teams, including transportation and logistics, to ensure seamless integration between warehouse operations and other business functions.
• Advise on relationships with key vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts as needed.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, vendor organizations, and government officials to ensure compliance with regulations affecting warehouse operations and to discuss matters of mutual interest.
• Collaborate with ADNOC affiliated companies to pool information and explore areas of cooperation for inter-company transfer of materials.
• Coordinate with the SVP Group Commercial Operations & Execution and other Division heads within the function to ensure alignment of warehouse performance strategies with organizational goals.
• Regularly communicate with staff within the Executive Function, Directorate, and other Directorates on divisional matters.

Reporting & Governance

• Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 10 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
• Relevant certifications in warehouse management, supply chain management, or logistics are preferred.
