Role Overview
Senior Specialist, Line Balancing at Ma'aden. This role is based within the TechOps Full Potential program and focuses on unlocking operational value through line balancing, capacity optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
Role Purpose
The Senior Specialist, Line Balancing translates business objectives into measurable performance improvements through advanced analysis, capacity optimization, and operational excellence initiatives. The role applies line balancing methodologies and data-driven decision making to enable sustainable improvements in throughput, workforce effectiveness, and asset utilization while contributing to Ma'aden's transformation agenda.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence & Line Balancing
- Optimize operational workflows through effective line balancing, capacity planning, and resource utilization strategies.
- Improve productivity and throughput by identifying and addressing operational constraints and bottlenecks.
- Enhance workforce and equipment efficiency through data-driven allocation and utilization models.
Performance Analytics & Insights
- Deliver actionable operational insights that improve decision-making and performance outcomes.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools that support value realization.
- Identify performance gaps and drive fact-based improvement initiatives through advanced analytics.
Transformation & Continuous Improvement
- Accelerate Full Potential transformation initiatives that deliver measurable operational and business value.
- Drive continuous improvement opportunities that strengthen productivity, quality, and operational effectiveness.
- Embed standard methodologies, best practices, and performance frameworks across operations.
Project Delivery & Execution
- Deliver operational improvement initiatives within agreed scope, timelines, and business objectives.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, and implementation activities to maximize delivery success.
- Enable scalable and practical solutions aligned with operational requirements and long-term sustainability.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships across operations, maintenance, engineering, digital, and support functions.
- Align improvement initiatives with business priorities through effective stakeholder engagement.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration that enables successful transformation outcomes.
Governance & Capability Building
- Ensure initiatives comply with safety, governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen organizational capability through knowledge sharing, methodology development, and training support.
- Establish robust documentation and reporting practices that support sustainability and continuous learning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in industrial, mining, technology, or innovation-focused environments.
- Experience delivering operational excellence, performance improvement, or transformation initiatives.
- Experience in process optimization, capacity planning, and productivity improvement programs.
- Experience managing complex cross-functional projects and stakeholder engagement activities.
