Role Overview
Senior Sales Engineer – HVAC Equipment at Al Shirawi Group, based in the UAE market.
Role Purpose
To identify and secure new business opportunities for DX (Direct Expansion) and VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems, while providing technical advisory and commercial solutions to contractors, consultants, and developers.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify and secure new business opportunities for DX and VRF product lines within the target market.
- Build strong relationships with MEP consultants and contractors to get company brands specified in early project stages.
- Stay updated on competitor activities, pricing strategies, and new HVAC technologies.
Technical Sales & Advisory
- Act as a technical advisor to clients and bridge the gap between technical requirements and commercial solutions.
- Review project specifications and liaise with consultants, clients, and contractors to provide optimized selections of HVAC equipment based on technical parameters.
- Review consultant designs, read equipment layouts, and provide techno-commercially optimal proposals.
Proposal Management
- Prepare and submit detailed technical and commercial offers and quotations in line with client requirements.
Sales Performance
- Achieve and monitor weekly progress against sales targets.
- Maintain proven record of achieving sales targets and follow up with customers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in HVAC sales, specifically with DX Units (Splits, Package, Ducted) and VRF systems.
- Strong technical background on HVAC DX equipment and VRF selection.
- Consultant exposure for product technical approval preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
- Proficient in VRF selection software.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC design principles, including heat load calculation software (e.g., HAP) and FAHU Selection software.
- Proficient in equipment selection software.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
