Role Overview
Senior Resident Engineer - Site (Highrise project) with Egis Group in Dubai. You will oversee all on-site engineering activities for large-scale construction projects, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Role Purpose
As a Senior Resident Engineer, you will lead and coordinate all on-site engineering activities for a large-scale highrise construction project, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and local building codes while managing technical teams and maintaining project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
On-Site Engineering & Quality Control
- Lead and coordinate all on-site engineering activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Review and approve construction methodologies, work plans, and technical submittals
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and local building codes
- Analyze and optimize construction processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Stakeholder Management & Coordination
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on-site
- Lead teams with strong communication and mentoring capabilities
Safety & Compliance
- Implement and maintain robust safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Reporting & Risk Management
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience as Resident Engineer or Senior Resident Engineer with a focus on highrise projects
- Minimum total of 20 years of experience
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or any equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Contract management and oversight practicing skills required
Skills & Competencies
- Extensive knowledge of construction methodologies, quality control processes, and safety regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- In-depth understanding of the construction industry and local building codes in Abu Dhabi, UAE
- Familiarity with UAE construction standards and practices
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Experience in managing and mentoring teams
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
