Role Overview
Senior Quantity Surveyor at AECOM. The role is based at an AECOM office location.

Role Purpose
Manage project quantities, costs, contracts, and commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure accurate cost estimation, measurement, valuation, and financial control.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Measurement
- Prepare quantity take-offs, bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine quantities and costs.
- Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
Financial Control & Monitoring
- Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and expenditures.
- Prepare cost reports and forecasts.
- Review contractor quotations, payment applications, and interim valuations.
Commercial Management
- Assess variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Prepare commercial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and relevant standards.
Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, contracts, and project documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 8 or more years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management.
- Strong knowledge of construction measurement, bill of quantities preparation, estimation, and contracts.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying or estimating software.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
- Analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
