Role Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor at JASARA PMC. This role plays a key role in project teams, ensuring accurate financial planning and management for construction projects.

Role Purpose

To leverage expertise in managing costs effectively and meeting both company and client objectives, contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Management & Control

• Oversee quantity surveying activities across various stages of projects, ensuring financial and contractual aspects are meticulously managed.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
• Lead the cost control process by conducting regular budget reviews and forecasting for ongoing projects.
• Conduct site evaluations and progress assessments to validate work completed and ensure adherence to budget.

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to provide updates on project costs and financial performance.
• Negotiate contracts and manage variation requests, ensuring all changes are documented and costs are captured accurately.

Team Development

• Mentor junior quantity surveyors, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster their development.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Professional qualification (e.g., MRICS) would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of construction costs, procurement strategies, and relevant regulations.
