Role Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor at JASARA PMC. This role manages financial and contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project profitability.

Role Purpose

Oversee all quantity surveying functions throughout the project lifecycle, from planning through execution to closure, while contributing to the delivery of exceptional project outcomes through cost management expertise and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Surveying & Estimation

• Oversee all quantity surveying functions throughout the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and closure.
• Prepare detailed estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents in accordance with project requirements.

Cost Management

• Lead the cost management process, performing regular cost analyses and implementing cost-saving strategies.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and budget adherence.
• Conduct site visits for progress assessments and to ensure compliance with specifications.

Contracts & Claims

• Manage contractual negotiations, variations, and claims in a timely and effective manner.

Team Development

• Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant field.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Professional certification such as MRICS or equivalent is highly regarded.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management techniques.
• Proficient in relevant software for quantity surveying and project management.
• Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
