Role Overview
Senior Quantity Surveyor at JASARA PMC. The role involves managing all aspects of cost management for high-quality construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, while working closely with project teams to ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints while maintaining quality and excellence.
Role Purpose
To manage cost across construction projects from estimation through delivery, ensuring accurate financial planning, contract optimization, and cost control while supporting project teams in identifying savings opportunities and preventing budget overruns.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Estimation & Budgeting
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
- Analyze project specifications, proposals, and contracts to assess financial aspects.
Cost Control & Monitoring
- Monitor project expenditures and provide financial reports and forecasts.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and evaluate costs.
Procurement & Negotiation
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing information.
- Evaluate bid submissions and negotiate contracts to achieve optimal pricing.
Project Support
- Support project managers in identifying cost-saving opportunities and avoiding budget overruns.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles, contracts, and cost estimation.
- Familiarity with local construction regulations and practices is a plus.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in project management software.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
