Role Purpose
To manage all quantity surveying functions, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. Your expertise in cost management, contracts, and financial planning will be crucial to project success.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and manage the quantity surveying team, providing guidance and mentorship.
Cost Management & Financial Planning
- Prepare and manage the project budget, including cost estimates and forecasts.
- Conduct value engineering and cost-benefit analysis to optimize project expenditure.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on financial performance.
Contracts & Negotiations
- Review and negotiate contractual documents and variations in accordance with company policy.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Risk Management
- Collaborate with project management to develop strategies for effective cost management and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure effective cost control and risk management practices.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in quantity surveying with a strong focus on the construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
- Extensive knowledge of contract management and cost control methods.
- Professional certifications in quantity surveying (e.g., MRICS) are highly desirable.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports and data.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
