Role Overview

Role Purpose

Ensure quality assurance and control during mechanical projects, particularly in shutdown and turnaround environments. Conduct inspections, coordinate with project teams, and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations while supporting project schedules and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

Inspections & Compliance

• Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical equipment and systems during shutdowns and turnarounds.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, international codes, and safety standards.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols.

Quality Management & Documentation

• Prepare inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and documentation as required.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Ensure familiarity with quality management systems and procedures.

Stakeholder Coordination & Leadership

• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and project teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Support project management to ensure timely completion of shutdown and turnaround activities.
• Lead and mentor junior inspectors or engineers.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in QA/QC inspection or engineering roles focused on mechanical systems.
• Proven experience working in shutdown and turnaround projects within the oil and gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and inspection techniques.
