Senior Project Engineer

Role Purpose

Support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects by coordinating technical activities, managing contractor and consultant interfaces, and ensuring compliance with project requirements, client standards, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Tendering and Procurement

• Prepare tendering and service order documentation, including scope definition, technical evaluation, and commercial coordination

Project Planning and Coordination

• Assist in transition project activities with office and site teams
• Provide support in planning, scheduling, and coordinating all technical aspects of projects
• Act as the focal point between the Abu Dhabi office and site teams to ensure effective coordination and information flow

Technical Documentation and Compliance

• Follow up on design drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards
• Participate in the preparation and review of technical submittals, method statements, RFIs, and progress reports
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and environmental standards

Project Management Support

• Support the Senior Project Manager in managing site activities, Service Orders, contractor performance, and coordination with consultants and stakeholders
• Monitor work progress and ensure alignment with project schedule and quality standards
• Assist in resolving design, construction, and site issues
• Support quality compliance, cost monitoring and control activities

Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting

• Participate in internal and client meetings, providing quality and technical input where required
• Assist in preparation of handover documentation and project close-out reports

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of 15 plus years of experience
• Experience in working with clients, contractors, and international stakeholders is an advantage
• Experience in Majnoon Oil Field, Basra, Iraq

• Strong communication and coordination abilities
• Ability to work in complex environments with multi-disciplinary teams
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
