Senior Process Engineer (Greenfield)

Role Purpose

To provide technical expertise in process design and engineering, ensuring all design and engineering activities comply with relevant codes and ADNOC standards. The role coordinates process design and engineering with EPC Contractors and resolves technical issues across disciplines to ensure quality execution and project integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical expertise in all process design activities.
• Ensure design and engineering compliance with relevant codes and ADNOC standards.
• Perform regular and timely technical reviews of process engineering deliverables developed by engineering consultants and contractors, ensuring design quality in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

• Ensure quality and accuracy of engineering consultant and EPC contractor process engineering design activities.
• Review and approve engineering consultant and EPC contractor work and ensure compliance with ADNOC project specifications, relevant codes and standards, and best industry practices.
• Ensure that facilities are designed in accordance with the latest corporate guidelines with respect to environment and health aspects.

Project Coordination and Planning

• Coordinate, monitor, and handle process design and engineering with EPC Contractor as per project expectation and complete within the time frame.
• Ensure integration of overall process engineering and overall coordination within IPMT Process Engineering Team.
• Coordinate the required engineering participation in the development and analysis of various design options and business models.
• Contribute input and expertise in the development and analysis of various design options and business models to design optimization and validation.
• Participate in teams for equipment sizing and equipment selection considering optimization and standardization.

Optimization and Integration

• Ensure full utilization of existing facilities while optimizing the facilities required for new projects.
• Participate in layout reviews, model reviews, design reviews, and technical workshops.

Stakeholder Management and Support

• Work with other discipline engineers within IPMT, EPC Contractor, ADNOC Engineering, Operation, and Site Interface to resolve technical issues and ensure quality discipline engineering execution and integrity.
• Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline engineers.
• Provide technical assistance during installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
• Report to ADNOC Discipline Team Leader, Engineering Manager, and provide support to Project Managers and Engineers within the Project Management Team organization.
• Interface with Managers, Team Leaders, and Engineers in Company's Technical Departments, Business Units, Operations Units, and Logistics Department.
• Interface regularly with Contractor's Engineering and Project Management team and discipline engineers as required.

Evaluation and Governance

• Coordinate technical reviews, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in oil and gas industry.
• Experience and detailed knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent technical team and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of engineering computer programs and general business software.
• Ability to make independent decisions in the planning, organizing, and coordinating to develop solutions to complex problems.
