Role Purpose

This role supports the team in developing the asset development programme, preparing Stage Gate and PCG reports, and maintaining the Asset development program. The Senior Planning Manager will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to understand and align strategy for developing new assets, using stage gate processes.

Key Responsibilities

Program and Schedule Management

• Develop, manage, and align detailed project schedules with Qiddiya's Integrated Master Schedule, ensuring compliance with program-level milestones and phasing strategies.
• Lead planning for large-scale assets, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's vision and delivery timelines.
• Maintain the Asset development program and update it as required.
• Developing the Asset development program for new assets using stage gate process.

Compliance and Reporting

• Ensure all schedules and reports adhere to QIC planning standards, Stage Gate processes, and reporting protocols (weekly, monthly, dashboards).
• Implement and enforce standardized reporting templates and planning procedures across all construction packages (excluding specialized assets like Golf where applicable).
• Support the team on developing and preparing PCG reports.

Stakeholder Integration

• Interface with PMC, contractors, designers, and internal QIC teams to ensure schedule integration and consistency across packages.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to understand and align the strategy for developing new assets.

Performance Measurement and Analysis

• Implement robust progress measurement (physical %, weighted milestones, KPIs) to provide accurate and auditable project status.
• Lead forensic schedule analysis, assess contractor claims, and support contractual entitlement evaluations in line with FIDIC/QIC frameworks.

Digital Delivery and Risk Management

• Drive use of Primavera P6, Power BI dashboards, and digital PMIS platforms to enhance transparency and real-time reporting.
• Identify schedule risks at project and program level; develop mitigation and acceleration strategies aligned with critical milestones.

Team Leadership

• Expertly manage and prioritize the workload of the team, deadline driven.
• Demonstrate leadership skills to set clear goals, motivate teams and deliver results.
• Lead team collaboration and cross department integration collaboratively in a team environment and across multiple departments.
• Lead the function's direction, specifically endorsing or opposing practices as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Management or relevant field of study.
• 10–15 years' related planning and scheduling within construction delivery experience, ideally from both Contractor and Consultancy backgrounds.
• Previous KSA/Middle East experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Primavera Certification (Preferred).
• Recognized project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level management software, such as Primavera P6 and MS Office (Excel, Word); preferred skills include Power BI.
• Exceptional written and verbal skills in English to effectively articulate ideas, strategies, and project performance to a range of audiences.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in delivering projects with strong technical and commercial working knowledge.
• Analytical and thorough problem-solving ability.
• Significant discipline or industry presence recognized and valued by industry peers as an authority able to work with teams to solve technical problems and achieve a high level of assurance on project deliverables.
• Significant experience in development, implementation, and management of business systems, including policies and procedures applicable to the role and across the project.
