Role Purpose
Ensure effective project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring to achieve timely and efficient project delivery. Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to complete projects within scope, budget, and time constraints.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Scheduling
- Develop comprehensive project schedules using appropriate software tools.
- Monitor and update project schedules to reflect actual progress.
- Identify critical path activities and potential delays.
- Ensure alignment of project schedules with overall project objectives.
Resource Allocation
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
- Allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation
- Identify potential risks to project timelines and propose mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address issues that may impact project schedules.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare regular progress reports for project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, plans, and reports.
Change Management
- Assess the impact of changes to project scope and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Collaborate with project managers to evaluate change requests.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure that project schedules align with quality standards and safety protocols.
- Support quality control teams in tracking and reporting on quality metrics.
Cost Control
- Collaborate with the finance department to monitor project costs.
- Assist in cost forecasting and budget tracking.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in project planning and execution.
