Role Overview

Senior Online QC - CCL at AL GHURAIR. The role is responsible for online quality control in the coated coil line operation.

Role Purpose

Ensure consistent product quality, reduce defects and rework, and drive continuous improvement in coating processes through real-time monitoring, material control, and supplier coordination. Support customer satisfaction and maintain compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Defect Reduction & First Pass Yield

• Reduce online coating defects by improving real-time monitoring and immediate corrective actions.
• Control shade variation issues, minimizing customer complaints related to color mismatch.
• Contribute to improvement in First Pass Yield.
• Identify root causes for recurring coating defects and implement corrective actions.
• Reduce rework and scrap, contributing to cost savings.

Shade Matching & Tinting Accuracy

• Improve paint tinting process to achieve consistent Delta E control within customer tolerance.
• Reduce shade approval time by better trial planning and sample validation.
• Minimize paint wastage through optimized tinting formulation control.

Inward Material Quality Control

• Implement stricter inward inspection for paints and mill finish coils, reducing raw material-related defects.
• Prevent production loss by identifying non-conforming materials before use.
• Improve supplier quality feedback coordination.

Customer Satisfaction & Complaint Resolution

• Support technical investigation of customer complaints with detailed defect analysis reports.
• Assist in faster complaint resolution, improving customer confidence.
• Successfully prepare and approve multiple customer sample panels.

Documentation, Reporting & Compliance

• Improve documentation and reporting accuracy for audit compliance.
• Actively participate in ISO audits and quality system compliance.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Guide junior QC inspectors and train operators on defect identification.
• Coordinate effectively with production and maintenance teams to maintain quality stability.
